Friday Night

Firstly, for Friday Night Sew In, I managed to finish off this bunting to send off to a special friend for her birthday (in case you cant read it, it says DREAM)

Then I started on Natalie Bird's Tote Bag from the Red Home book!  Stitching up nicely....

I could have done more but I was busy facebooking and texting.....LOL

Rainy Friday

I awoke this morning to rain on my face!  It had rained most of yesterday too but the wind had obviously changed direction.

I think today I will spend most of stitching which will be great before my busy weekend at work!  That will lead nicely into Friday Night Sew In

I also thought that I might be stitching up something for this today

visit Narelle at Pins and Whiskers for details
but I did manage to get something simple finished off last night

I love this and think I will make a few more......and what a great way to use up some scraps!

Bag, Catcher and Cushion

Over the past few days I have been putting together these (drawstring bag, threadcatcher and pincushion)

They will be heading off to Tassie very soon with some other bits and pieces to donate to those who lost a lot in the recent bushfires.  A very small token, but hopefully it will make someone smile in tough times.

And then there were Five

Im sure you have read in blogland that thread catcher baskets are becoming addictive.

I started out with these two

made as part of the 2013 Stitch-A-Long and also for my Birthday Love Stash.  Then Becca found this "really cool" fabric and wanted some for her room so I made them in various sizes

Also for the birthday basket is this little notebook....

Friday Night with Friends

Last night I joined Cheryll and a few others for the First Friday Night with Friends for 2013.

I finally made this

....a steering wheel cover, for me

I had previously made these for Christmas Presents ........

They are really quite fun to do and I might make some more to put in the present box......
