Meeting New Friends and Birthday Presents

On Tuesday I collected Vicki (who had come to "Sunny Queensland") and we headed off on a road trip in some torrential rain to meet up with some of our Friends in Stitching buddies.

While we were there Vix and I swapped our birthday presents from last year......

I also decided that I would be much better organised and give Vix her birthday present for this year a bit early..............

It was great to spend the day with a wonderful bunch of people.

I am off on Sunday for a few days at a stitching retreat ......... lets hope the weather improves for the drive there.

Lisa's Birthday Present & Cracker Swap

Inspired by the lovely bags received by Helen in the Advent swap, I wanted to make something similar for my friend Lisa (no blog) to take with her on her upcoming cruise.



I hope she likes them and can get some good use from them.

Its also another 6 finishes for me for January.

Last Project for 2011

I whipped up this dress yesterday for an event that hubby and I have to go to on the 14th. Photo doesnt really do the fabric any justice at all.

The fabric was gifted to me by an Auntie of hubby's who is no longer sewing.
