Friday Night Sew In

I managed to get a bit done............

First off I finished this block......

Cat Block - Some Kind of Wonderful

Then finished the applique on this.............

Secret Project - cant show you yet!

Quite pleased with my efforts and hopefully I will be able to get some more sewing done today after spending yesterday tidying the sewing room!

Knitted Cape

Stumbled across a free pattern whilst out shopping a short time ago.......Love the pattern but the shop I was in didnt have two of the balls of yarn that was required for this in the colour that I liked so I just grabbed the pattern and then literally forgot about it.

Wasnt until a short time after that I happened to be in a different store of the same shop and I saw it again and this time they had what I needed.  Didnt take long at all to knit up even with the bobbles and managed to find this glass broach while out with hubby last week.

Paper Bag Swap

Im playing catch up with a few posts so I thought I would share what I made and received in our FIS Paper Bag Swap.   We sent off three fat quarters a button and some ricrac and a stitchery if we chose to. We were lucky enough to swap these presents personally while we were in Sydney.

Firstly Sarah made this lovely retreat cushion for me  (I grabbed the photos from Sarah's blog)

 I made for Jen and this is what she sent..............

 As soon as I opened her package this fabric was begging to be made into an apron so that is exactly what I did..............
