Just a Peak

Just a peak into the craft room. 

Most of the crafty bits have been relocated and I have even been in there today working on a secret project.  This is what you see when you walk into the room and this beautiful tin trunk was my birthday present from my wonderful hubby!  It is now home to my batting supply.

There is still a little to be done.........tidying and sorting the little bits and then I can take some more pics to share with you all!

Under Construction

Desk relocated........mammoth effort that was!  First it had to be empty with nothing on top (now that was an effort in itself).  Then the top was removed and the desk was cut in half.........

It now has its first recoat of varnish and the window is back in where it belongs!  All the sewing gear is still in the lounge room just all over the floor!

The new sewing room.  The fat quarter shelf is up.  The trim is painted (first coat - second tomorrow).

This room was the sleep out where Cam bunked when he came over.  He has now relocated to a different room.

The desk from the lounge room will be disassembled and moved probably next weekend.

Im excited!!!  This will be the very first time that I have had a dedicated sewing/crafting space!

Ruffles

This is the latest finish in the Re-De-Zines' house........my first ruffle scarf..........so simple to knit. 

This is a present for a friend of Bec's.  Plan to do another in cream tones for Mum for Mother's Day.

FIS Swap

Last night was opening night for our first Friends in Stitching Swap for 2012.  The theme for this swap was "Bronwyn Hayes.

I received this lovely cushion from Leanne

And for Fiona I made the Veronica Placemat from Tea with Friends and decided it would make a great mug rug so teamed it with a goody bag which is the perfect size for the mug I found.

Friday Night Sew In

This is the first time I will be participating in FNSI.  I am a little tired but will make myself sit and stitch as I have a few things that need to be completed.

Will be back tomorrow to show you what I achieved and hopefully have time to get the photos organised of beautiful birthday presents and my weekend in Tassie.

Let's Get Stitched
in Tassie!

Deb and I head down to spend a few days staying with my Mum and Dad and catching up with some blogging friends. Im sure it will be the best weekend. Also a good excuse to spend my birthday with the folks - well some of it as I will off on a bus for most of day and Fee has very kindly organised Party games too! Lucky me!!
