Sunday Project

Unfortunately on Saturday our Oscar fish departed for fishy heaven and hubby and I decided not the keep the fish tank which took up quite a bit of space in the lounge room.

Hubby had previously been given this chest which he believes is over a 100 years old. It needed a bit of TLC and it was one of those projects that he never got further than sanding a few years back.

So after moving the fish tank out Saturday afternoon we decided to finish off this project and with just another light sand and a few coats of wax this is what we came up with

Of course once it was in place in the lounge room it needed decorating...............


It will be used to hold some of my crafting stuff soon. At the moment I have some bi-carb in there to help remove some of the musty smell.

Tonight I have finished the final stitches on my SSCS project! I will wrap it and await the time for postage.

An early morning storm

This is what I woke up to this morning............

very dark skies and teaming rain complete with thunder and lightening. Think this may become a designated stitching day. We havent had much rain for awhile - only a little bit on and off so it is needed. I didnt however need it for the washing that I did late yesterday and left on the line - oh well - never mind :)

I also forgot to show you the pictures of the bag that I stitched for my dear friend for her birthday back in August
Best head off the computer while the rumbles are happening in the sky in the interests of safety. Have a good weekend.

Purse Swap - made and received

Our Friends in Stitching Group had a purse swap and this is what I made for Razzy.

Razzy was also my partner who sent to me and this is the gorgeous purse that she sent,

and with gorgeous goodies inside!

There were also a couple of chocolate bars in the package when it arrived but these didnt last long enough to make it to the photograph!

A beautiful weekend

My lovely husband treated us to a very relaxing weekend away to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We didnt have to drive very far to the Sunshine Coast where he had chosen this lovely B&B to stay at.

I would highly recommend Bli Bli House to anyone and our hosts were lovely people. Back to reality now and back to work tomorrow but it sure was nice to escape for a couple of nights.

Beautiful Present from Razzy

I was the lucky recipient of this lovely surprise present from Razzy just for leaving comments on her blog!
Very cute little pouch, sunglasses case, little purse, the most gorgeous bird and some very cute and rather delicious smelling made by Razzy buttons.


All will come in very handy. Thank you so much Razzy and it arrived at the end of a not so good week.
