All quiet on the home front
and this is what has kept me quiet for the past few days!
I had a five day break and apart from the basic housework and cleaning out the Tupperware cupboard today (yuck) I have spent the majority of it doing some form of stitching. Only one finish for the break though but its a good one! I decided that I wanted to hand quilt large versions of the daisies randomly and then just around the Teddies. The pattern is Vintage Teddies and the fabric is Crazy Daisy by Buggy Barn. This has been a UFO for 4 years!
Ive got some more chicken placemats nearly finished (just have to stitch the binding down) and I also got a lot more of Becca's black and white squares together!
Back to work tomorrow but then Im off again Thursday, Friday and Saturday - not a bad trade off for working Sunday this week !

Ruby's Quilt
Today I managed to complete a quilt for baby Ruby! Ruby is the newest little princess in one of my work friend's home.
And of course all quilts need a matching pillow...............
I did snip as I sewed all the rows together but by the end of the afternoon I was a little stiff - oh the joys - and to think I have Becca's shaggy quilt on the go as well! I had the majority of fabric for this quilt stashed in the cupboard so that is an even bigger bonus! Its just one layer of flannel and then one layer of polar fleece - plenty warm enough for our climate - and it was so snuggly when I removed it from the dryer!
It stocktake week at work this week so I wont get much of a chance to do any sewing! Its been crazy there for the past few weeks as I am one of the people involved in getting it all organised!
Have a good week.

Raggedy Station Giveaway
Sunday, April 3, 2011
Its either black or white
This pile of squares is going to be made into a raggy quilt. Becca is going with a black and white theme in her bedroom and so far this is what I have got to piece together - not looking forward to the snipping on this one!
I have also finished my Friends In Stitching swap present which will be posted off this week so no pics to show of that just yet!
